Dr. Chengzeng Yan won Hong Kong Scholar (2019) 香江学者 and join our research group.

Dr. Wenqi Du won National 1000 Young Talents Award (2019) 国家青年千人 (This award is for the top young scholars in China), and now Professor at Wuhan University.

Dr. Duruo Huang won National 1000 Young Talents Award (2018) 国家青年千人, and now Associate Professor at Tsinghua University

Dr. Jianhong Ye won National 1000 Young Talents Award (2015) 国家青年千人, and now Professor at Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wuhan.

Supervised FYP student Li Wing Tak won AECOM Prize 2017-2018 for The Best Engineering Students in Hong Kong Universities, March 2018.

Dr. Duruo Huang was appointed as Research Assistant Professor at HKUST, July 2017.

Dr. Duruo Huang won Ringo Yu for Best PhD Thesis in Geotechnical Studies, Geotechnical Division of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) (2017).

Bence Kato and his teamates won First Prize of the Postgraduate Division, Innovation award of seismic isolation and energy dissipation, and Best Presentation Award, Introducing and Demonstrating Earthquake Engineering Research in Schools (IDEERS), September 22-23, 2017, Taipei.

Dr. Jianhong Ye was appointed as Full Professor at Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wuhan, China, 2015.

Duruo Huang won Liu Huixian Earthquake Engineering Scholarship Award, Huixian Earthquake Engineering Foundation and US-China Earthquake Engineering Foundation (The award is for top PhD students in Earthquake Engineering in US and Asian Pacific). (2014).
